Hekatombs: A TTRPG of Cosmic Sacrifices

There are infinite worlds, infinite continuums, realities which all but a few will never see. But you'll see them. You'll see them because you are unique. Distinctive. Singular. In all of the infinite realities, you are the only version of you still around. And because of this uniqueness, you've attracted the attention of unfathomable powers, forces which balance the universe in ways beyond the comprehension of the ordinary human mind. You're their agent, their instrument. Their harvester.

Once the Powers have their hooks in you, you're theirs from now till the heat death of the universe, and possibly even after that. There is no retirement package. There is no changing allegiances. One of the Powers grabs you, and that's all there is to it. There are some upsides, to be sure.  Of course, there's a couple big downsides. One, you're the eternal servant of a cthonic entity. You might think that's a small price to pay for basically being immortal and doing cool magic. It's the other downside that often presents some disquiet.

You have to murder a world. Regularly.
